The "Spartacus of Guitar" - Freeing the musical slaves rant and FREE invitation for you.

Most of what guitarists play, including tons of hit songs, are incomplete exercises that are hopefully interesting regardless of what they are. Most guitarists can only hope to play something that a literative musician wrote in a nice way. I hear only the breakthrough musicians actually speaking coherently and fluently in the language of music. Most musicians are having a musical archaeological expedition looking for those accepted notes, just like a tourist trying to seem cool while ordering a drink. None of that bothers me so much as how most guitar students are in fact adversarial to their own freedom....

My Institute taught many instruments and courses, so I got an opportunity to register all the students. An all too common request was," I will pay you for a year of lessons right now if you will confirm that I don't have what it takes (the dna) for music and then I can forget about it." lol The truth is that the aspects of musical ability that are physical or genetic do not hamper one's ability to speak fluent music and have the transcendence experience that only musicians " in the pocket" experience. In other words in the pocket musicians actually understand the syntax and grammar of music while taking to full expression of their contract. Those kind of myths like "born with talent" are designed to keep you down.

My students will note, that I seem to have superior physical characteristics which makes their opportunity to play as well as me limited or impossible. LOL It only seems that way because I very efficiently use my strengths to my advantage to the point where my weaknesses rarely show. My students will note that I come from a heritage of music and my parents met at Juilliard school of music and they would be practicing and teaching in the house for the first seven years of my life which must have seen my brain into a musical  prodigy. Did you see how those students disempower themselves unnecessarily? To be as good as me only requires a bona fide Maestro who uses technology such as biofeedback for your ear training that can now give you  the same results in a few months that would normally take almost forever.....

Publicists and profit seekers will say things as part of their job to disempower the public and separate you from the profitable artists. It's BS. My students are shocked to find that I am teaching the same lessons as theirs to famous millionaire musicians because publicists have convinced us that these folks are superior musicians to look up to, when most are primarily performers that incorporate music into their program, and have only studied music enough to get by. Then the artists repeat what they've learned in the beginning for decades, without growing. So no one is immune, not even me. I'm not proud to say that in my past money got the best of me. It afforded me the cushion to feed my narcissism and avoid the musical problems on the guitar that I had not fixed since I was a kid. Now of course I am good in mind and spirit with the balance of values that is healthy because I have realistically achieved a highly competitive level of playing, which along with my long-standing musical fluency, affords me the opportunity to shake guitarists out of their slumber and in to the light of self-expression through the language of guitar music.

The reason why guitarist's don't improvise properly is due to a lack of understanding of simplistic basics of music. This lack is because guitar theory has been presented to them with a completely confused mental construct created by the piano forte people of the Renaissance. It works for piano music but not for today's guitar music! Time to update kids. :-)

On a personal note, I almost never play anything without improvising, just like when I speak, I kinda say it differently each time and I am able to take in the whole moment and speak from the heart. I never copy directly, nor do I have to because for any REAL bona fide Maestro (or his guitar students) is "toddler play" to fully comprehend "hit songs" and therefore play with any personal interpretation and feeling, just as a fully trained Shakespearean actor can easily read some add copy, while making it personalized without copying the next "anchorman" by talking low or whatever. LOL

This is no putdown kids, and this is no narcissistic subjective elitist manipulation on my part and I can prove it to you, whoever you are, and wherever you are, as long as you have a computer and have added Skype. I can prove what I am saying by enhancing your musical abilities, in other words giving you musical superpowers through knowledge that is immediately self-evident. Electricity is immediate and self-evident. Here's a hint: to play modern guitar music as a direct expression like speaking your language of origin right now, you must understand that the elements of music work exactly like electricity.

All you have to do is contact me at "guitarcrossroads" on Skype or IM me on Facebook at Paul T Harrison or e-mail me at thecaliforniaguitarslinger@Gmail.com and I will help you. I have absolutely free, no obligation programs, "fast track" full paid courses, and absolutely free daily personalized correspondence courses. In all these cases I offer several days in a row of Skype lessons which I would have hitchhiked across country to get when I was a young musician. Welcome to "Free the Guitarists" movement lol

Guitarslinger's Rant - might open up your ears and mind to new realizations....

Ever notice, especially with the electric guitar, that people make weird idiosyncratic "tiddlywinks" sounds that are like nervous twitches? ... and that these anomalous sounds are picked up and copied by millions of insecure guitar players? Well it has reached epidemic proportions! :-)

The core of their insecurity is a result of being indoctrinated into musical slavery rather than the freedom that comes as a result of learning from a bona fide maestro, as I did from Leonard Bernstein and others. This insecurity is obvious as people "monkey see monkey do" instead of playing from the heart and mind. Otherwise why would someone copy another artist of any medium who, for example, has turned "stuttering" into part of a style? Sure "Stuttering John" from the Howard Stern show got to be an announcer for the Tonight Show, but we don't see people purposefully stuttering in order to help their comedy. In the same way, to see people acting out by musically copying others to the point of including their "handicaps", which then gets copied over and over by other "riff copiers trying to cheat themselves out of learning how to speak for themselves musically" until the sporatically stuttering, terrets syndromed, over tiddlywinking players become the new standard.....this seems expecially the case in blues and jazz these days. Mediocrity has a lot of company and being better is lonely..

If you are interested in truly expressing yourself musically from the heart using a medium of the exact science of music instead of speculation, superstition, blaming on "wrong dna" or whatever BS people tell themselves while playing weird nervous musical ticks (in and around their copied songs) in front of their drunken friends who are patronizing them.... in other words if you want to finally let go and be musically free to take your inner self to the highest levels of emotional expesssion and realization through music, then contact me here, and I will give you many days of FREE Skype Guitar lessons .

I have done the really hard stuff FOR YOU by being in the "thick of guitar education" in the last 50 years, but now you must give up shyness, let go of the attachment to your mediocrity by opening up to what will actually bring you to full expression... you can also contact me on Skype at "guitarcrossroads" to get an immediate booking with no obligation for FREE! I can do no more than that so it is up to you now......... I have relieved you of your excuses.....

Lesson three inaugurates orientation for my theory creation that I named the "E" form

Lesson three inaugurates orientation for my theory creation that I named the "E" form, by correlating some of the aspects of the E chord such as multiple registers of open E strings and a minimum of 13 E voicings on the instrument.

The exercise involves going up seven notes in the key using a foundationally fundamental picking technique of striking down on the tone, then pedaltoning to the open E 1st string by picking down again (sweeping) and then up, again on the open E string for a double strike pedaltone technique. Pedaltoning is one of he 5 phrasings. (Phrasing means one of the 5 possible ways to combine the notes) It is when you play one same note inbetween all the other notes. Like 1 2 1 4 1 5 .....

I apologize for the 60hz hum.... I will teach it he words. :-)
Guitarslinger Maze - lesson two - G form is one of the two primordial fretboard orientations. Anchor youtself on the G string first as the most efficient way for exponentially improving your understanding of the instrument based on the historical roots of it's evolution and tunings.

Play the whole note intervals on the G string and omit the flats. For non-beginners, please don't wig out on the cycle of 5ths and the key of G having an F#, instead simply play the same notes you played in lesson 1, on the E string, except that you omit the flats and play on the G string.

This approach may seem bizarre to give to a beginner in only their 2nd lesson, however because the most advanced jazz players theorize in a particular way due to the complexities of quick key changes and unusual modes like super locrian, I start the beginner at the end NOW, and give you the way THEY do it immediately as you learn. This really pays off in helping to maintain an exponentially helpful program where each step supports every other step until the pyramid of music theory is complete. Music is an exact science that can be completely 100% learned and controlled in its fundamentals. One can obviously do a lot of complex and unique things with music, however the fundamentals are always there to rely on to ground and orient you, giving freedom as a result of understanding music theory into a cohesive, multi-level inter-supportive way.

Here the intervals again for your reference. Please read how to apply:
Let's start at the beginning. 12 months - 12 notes.... Folks like to imagine that they are using only 7 notes at a time, but in the end without multiplying by repeating in other registers and including demitones, there are 60 descernable tones.... Still without bending, we got a 12 note "musical calendar" to train our ear and mind, Also note when peeps like to think of using only 7 notes (being in a KEY) there are also "incidently" incidentals which is easiest to view the 6 omitted black keys as flats. Guitarslingers Everywhere! Time to get out your axe and rip! :-)

Guitarslinger Maze is an invitation for you to find your path through original Guitar Games on YouTube and other platforms using Interactive Challenges, and Guitar "master key " Puzzles that ultimately guide you into the inner sanctum for Guitar Theory Treasures. Treasures like the famous REAL secret at the crossroads....or revelations like how most guitarists are faking it. In other words most guitarists are not in fact "fluent" in the language of guitar music.

Treasures include absolutely free, no obligation, guitar lessons on Skype with guitar maestros on the cutting-edge of guitar theory and/or guitar legends. The "Guitar Maze" in-house game guide and support teacher is Paul T. Harrison, who has taught over 5000 guitar students including scores of famous players. He created an Institute that collaborated to provide personalized guitar clinics with legendary breakthrough guitar players such as Harvey Mandel (The Rolling Stones - Canned Heat) - Steve Morse - Wesley the Wright (Original co-founding member of Miami Sound Machine) - John Mcgloughlin (Maha Visnu Orchestra) - and many dozens of legendary heavy hitting guitar virtuoso's.

Guitarslinger Maze is dedicated to freeing the masses by empowering them into becoming musically "fluent" ambassadors of musical love. Most musicians don't realize that what they are saying musically has a meaning that the musician himself does not understand. They're like a foreigner speaking phonetically, who obviously does not understand the full meanings or nuances of what they are saying. lol It doesn't have to be that way, because learning music is about as hard as learning the colors for child. If you remember it wasn't that easy to learn the colors properly, but almost every adult has a good handle on the colors.

We offer: FREE Skype Guitar Lessons which leads to either an ALL FREE email based daily personalized correspondence course or a paid program that includes video conferencing guitar lessons in our virtual production facility. Paul T. Harrison is a highest level guitar teaching Maestro who now is offering scholarships to worthy students. He has been referred to as the California Guitarslinger for his competitive guitarslinging on Highway 101 CA in recent years and he is now being dubbed the "Guitar Spartacus" of the net because he is freeing a virtual army of struggling guitarists and empowering so many musicians to express themselves fully as a result of finally learning guitar music the real, simple, and coherent way that allows one to speak the language of music fluently, and from the heart.

Anyone who joins the Guitarslinger Maze posse will grow right along with the technology as we connect through this wonderful medium and ultimate language of music. Welcome.....
